Nippo Lake Guardians
Incredible effort by Nippo Lake residents over the past few years has reduced and in some cases eliminated phosphorus from entering our lake and fueling cyanobacteria outbreaks. To complete the work of restoring Nippo water quality, we need to prevent the release of phosphorus embedded in the lake bottom into the water by increasing the amount of alum in lake sediment.
The importance of your participation can not be overstated. This is the final phase of our efforts to end the loss of weeks in the water caused by toxic algae blooms. You can play a role in making this phase happen as soon as possible. With your contribution of $2,000 or more, we can begin an alum treatment and in return you will receive not only a clean lake, but also a commemorative Nippo Lake Guardian flag!
